We currently have one sheep residing at the shelter. This is Bramble, who was hand-reared by shelter staff, having been brought in with his brother Willow, not long after their mum died.
Willow passed away recently, after many happy years with us.
Bramble now keeps company with the resident goats, who he treats as younger siblings ... following them around, and making sure they don't get into too much mischief (but they do!).
Nancy was only a few months old when she arrived in May 2007. She is a very friendly girl, and will follow you around, especially if she knows you have something edible with you! She loves eating, and we have already caught her taking nibbles out of our fencing!!
At the end of May 2007, a few more goats arrived to keep Nancy and Bramble company. Meet the boys - Charlie Brown, Barley and Corey! These three are as friendly as Nancy, and they all love to hang around together, as best chums often do!
Barley is the first to run up to visitors, to see if there are any snacks on offer! If you are holding any bit of food, he will not let you walk more than a few steps before standing in front of you, forcing you to give up the food or risk having some item of your clothing nibbled or covered in a muddy hoof print instead!
