Saturday 9 February 2008 - Rainbow Stars Variety Show at Thornden Hall, Winchester Road, Chandlers Ford. Matinee at 2.30pm and Evening Show at 7.30. Adults £7.50 - Concessions £5. St Francis will receive a donation for all tickets sales. For tickets, please contact the Nightingale School of Dance and Drama's Principal, Carol Wormull, on 02380 616742.

Wednesday 12 March 2008 - Annual General Meeting - 7.15pm at Fair Oak Village Hall in Shorts Road, Fair Oak. PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS MEETING IS ONLY OPEN TO MEMBERS . . . .

Saturday 15th March 2008 at 1.00pm - Jumble Sale: The Ritchie Hall, Hursley Road, Chandlers Ford. Admission 30p

Saturday 22 March 2008 - “Riverside Eggspress”: Riverside Park, Bitterne. Come and see us at our stall, where we will have amusements, tombola and information and photos of all our animals.

Saturday 5th April 2008 at 1.00pm - Jumble Sale: The Ritchie Hall, Hursley Road, Chandlers Ford. Admission 30p

Saturday 26 April 2008 - 11am to 3pm - “Spring Into Action” – Mayfield Park, Weston Lane. Visit us at our stall for amusements and games for kids and dogs alike!

Sunday 27 April 2008 - 11am to 4pm - Barkrite's Dog Show and Fun Day - Saffron Park, Allington Lane, Fair Oak. Visit us at our stall. The day will be filled with fun and frolics for all dogs and their owners.

Monday 5 May 2008 - Bank Holiday Fun Day - Lapstone Pub, Fair Oak 12pm to 4pm. A lovely event for all the family, held in the gardens of this local public house. Lots of amusements for children, BBQ and refreshments, and the chance to meet Arnie our Cockatoo, who will no doubt greet everyone with a cheery "Hello Baby".

Saturday 17th May 2008 at 1.00pm - Jumble Sale: The Ritchie Hall, Hursley Road, Chandlers Ford. Admission 30p

Sunday 1st June 2008 - 2pm to 5pm - Summer Open Day - at our shelter in Mortimer's Lane. A great day out for all the family. Many amusements, games and stalls, a bouncy castle for the kids as well as live music in our BBQ and refreshments area! You will get the chance to see the many animals needing new homes, as well as our permanent residents.

Sunday 22nd June 2008 - Furry Friends Fun Walk and BBQ - 11am to 5pm - at Itchen Valley Country Park, Allington Lane - a sponsored walk for you and your dog! Click HERE for more details

Lots of amusements for children, BBQ and refreshments, and the chance to meet Arnie our Cockatoo, who will probably be doing his best to get at our hoopla games and balloons!

Sunday 7th September 2008 - 2pm to 5pm - Autumn Open Day - at our shelter in Mortimer's Lane. A great day out for all the family. Many amusements, games and stalls, a free bouncy castle for the kids, as well as live music in our BBQ and refreshments area! You will get the chance to see the many animals needing new homes, as well as our permanent residents. We will also be announcing the winners of our Best Dog Photo Competition 2008 and Ben and Gemma's Prize Raffle.

Sunday 14 September 2008 - 1pm to 5pm - Bishopstoke Carnival - See Francis the Animal Welfare Bear at the Carnival procession, or visit our stall.

30 September to 4 November 2008 - St Francis Animal Art Exhibition - at the Eastleigh Museum.

Thursday 2 October 2008 - Hedge End Retail Park (M&S/Sainsbury's entrance) - collection day. Please contact us if you can help out as a volunteer on this day.

Saturday 4 October 2008 (St Francis Day) - 55th Anniversary Celebration Concert - Thornden Hall, Chandlers Ford - A special performance of "Peter and the Wolf" by the Winchester Chamber Orchestra, in celebration of 55 years of St Francis Animal Welfare. Ticket information will be supplied in the near future.

Sunday 26 October 2008 - BUPA Great South Run 2008 in Portsmouth - Our Fundraiser of the Year 2007, Julia Howard, will be running in this event together with her sister Jennifer and their respective husbands, Peter and Nick, to raise funds for St Francis. You can sponsor Julia, Jennifer, Peter or Nick by clicking on their names to visit their sponsorship webpages.

Saturday 29th November 2008 at 1.00pm - Christmas Mini Market : The Ritchie Hall, Hursley Road, Chandlers Ford. Admission 30p - Many Christmas goodies for sale - including gifts, cards and calendars. We will also have a new and nearly new clothes sale, as well as cakes and refreshments. Our Annual Grand Draw prizes will be drawn, and winners announced at this event

For just £10 a year you can become a member. You will receive a full report and programme every year whilst supporting us, and your help will ensure the shelter continues to care for unwanted and needy animals.

Thank you to all the people who give up so much of their valuable time and energy to help in so many ways. We always need more help, especially with committee work. Please ring one of the numbers below, if you can offer us your assistance.
