Ann Hillman      1951 - 2010
Ann Hillman

We are sad to report that Ann Hillman passed away on the 5th of May 2010.

Ann was a dedicated Animal Lover who gave her life to the work of St Francis Animal Welfare, where she provided a ‘safe haven to thousands of homeless animals’.

Ann joined St Francis in 1980 as Voluntary Warden when the site in Horton Heath provided just a few pens for cats and dogs.

Her tireless work has seen the shelter grow into the purpose built modern facility the charity now occupies in Mortimers Lane, Fair Oak.

Ann was always available to help animals even those brought in in the middle of the night or provide help and support to their owners.

Our thoughts are with Ann’s husband Maurice and all of the family at this difficult time.

Ann’s funeral (a celebration of her life) was held on Monday the 17th of May 2010 at:

South Downs Natural Burial Site
Donations in Ann’s memory can be made to St. Francis Animal Welfare and sent to the shelter.

In light of the above the Open Day on the 16th of May is postponed until later in the summer.
