All-weather exercise area for dogs to be built at St Francis

We are hoping to build an all-weather exercise and training/play area for dogs on site.

This is much needed for walking and exercising dogs in our care, and would be used all year round. The area is to be equipped with an artificial grass surface, which is hard-wearing and suited to all weathers.

Dogs such as Tarn (pictured below) are extremely active, and require regular exercise and play. An exercise area on site would mean that our dogs would be safer and happier - staff and volunteers would be able to take our dogs for walks within the shelter, and not have to venture outside, near any roads.

The cost of this work will be in the region of £13,000. If you would like to make a donation to help us reach this target, so we can get the work started and keep our dogs happy, then you can do so in any of the following ways:-

By cheque - Please make your cheque payable to "St Francis Animal Welfare", and send it to St Francis Animal Welfare, Sunnyside Cottage, Mortimer's Lane, Fair Oak, Hampshire, SO50 7EA.

By credit/debit card - click here to make a secure online donation via the Bmycharity website.

Alternatively, you may wish visit the shelter to offer a donation in person, which will give you the opportunity to see the dogs that will benefit from the exercise/training area.

We will keep you updated on how the fund is going and whether we are hopefuly able to progress with this project.
