Chocolate Muffin makes a new friend!

After reading on the BBC News website about the rescue of donkey, Chocolate Muffin, and our request for donations for her future care, Dorset businessman, Adam Murry, contacted us to offer his support.

Adam Murry

Adam is the Founder and Chairman of The Murry Foundation. He devotes large amounts of time and his own money to the preservation of all aspects of the Natural World whilst also developing schemes that save thousands of orphans a year.

Everyone at St Francis Animal Welfare is extremely grateful to Adam for his kind support of our animal shelter. We also take this opportunity to thank the members of the public who made donations to St Francis, after seeing press coverage of Chocolate Muffin.

Our gorgeous Chocolate Muffin has now had a first visit by the local farrier, and is walking much more comfortably after having had an initial trim of her overgrown hooves. They cannot be trimmed down to a normal size in just one visit, so she will have regular appointments with our local farrier over the next few months.
