Orphans

With the arrival of spring, we're likely to see more baby critters around. Unfortunately, some of them have an unhappy start to life, when they are separated from or abandoned by their mothers.
Here at the shelter, we do our best to care for orphaned animals, and will hand-rear them where possible.
Once they are strong and healthy, and able to fend for themselves, they are released back into the wild, where they belong.
This month (as pictured above), we have new arrivals of a female fox cub and a baby squirrel with conjunctivitis (both of them only a few weeks old) as well as a couple of fledglings.
All these little ones need round the clock care and feeding, provided by our staff and volunteers at the shelter. If you would like to help us continue our work in caring for abandoned and injured wildlife, we would be very grateful for any donations - which would go towards the necessary medical care and food these babies require.
Please click here to donate. Any sum would be greatly appreciated by all of us at St Francis.
